Camel Trail, a popular flat cycle route (disused railway line). Start in public carpark behind Lidl. Downstream to Padstow. Return to Wadebridge (and pass by carpark again), then briefly along town's roads within Wadebridge before rejoining upstream towards Bodmin. Pass Shooting Range and Grogley Halt platforms. Five minutes past Grogley Halt we stopped, changed to second pair of batteries (15 miles since setting off), and decided to turn around and head back to the car.
Flat dry grit/dirt. First 15 miles on one pair of batteries, then switcched to second pair.
Hazards and warnings
Large numbers of other users on the trail, especially on the Wadebridge-Padstow section. Quieter towards Bodmin.
