Introduction

A nice short, but steep walk down to the sea, through pleasant woods. Very nice in spring.

Conditions

Woodland paths

Detailed description

Follow the path from the pub, and across the field. Go into the wood and head down the steep track until you reach the stream. Ford two streams and join the well made path. Turn right and follow the path down the valley, along side the stream, before crossing over the bridge. After climbing and descending again, carry on down to the beach.

To return follow the same way back, and carry straight on up the hill to arrive near the pub.

For a more interesting, and challenging variation on this walk, follow the stream from the wooden footbridge. You'll get very wet, as you scramble over rocks and logs, and through pools and down some short waterfalls before you arrive by the footbridge above the waterfall onto the beach.
