A short and flat ride to the north of York, on fairly quiet roads.
Cycle tracks and quiet roads
A short after work ride, as I wasn't feeling very energetic.
Although I went around the route in a short space of time, the flat ground, quiet roads and short distance would make it an ideal route for those wanting a gentle 'pottle' type of family ride.
If you have the time, it's worth stopping at the nature reserve at Moorlands wood, to see the woodlands, especially during the daffodil and bluebell season. The reserve is run by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, and more details can be found our their website.
