Great route taking in some of the best the Quantocks has to offer
Hazards and warnings
Watch out for the stream section during the final descent - the exit over a large tree root is great fun but I came off langing heavily on a sharp stone. Best done without Crank Bros cleats!
A great mix of forest, Dowsborough hill fort, single track and the open expanse of the tops which you can blast along at a fair pace.
The initial climb is sustained but varied if lung bursting towards the top.
The final descent is the stuff of legend - wonderful varied route crossing a valley side before dropping into beautiful trees, a short technical stream section and amble back to the car park.
It's a circular route and not too long so good for an afternoon or summer evening.
